Michael Furasek, MD

Michael Furasek, MD, received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, NE. He earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha, NE where he also completed his Internal Medicine residency training in 2010. Dr. Furasek joined Inpatient Physician Associates in 2010. Board certification.

Dr. Furasek has served as co-chairman of the patient blood management team at Bryan Health and also attends monthly meetings with the Trauma Department Quality Improvement Committee. He strives to take the time to get to know his patients on a personal level and explain diagnoses and plans that help his patients and their families decide what the next best step in their healthcare should entail based on their individual goals.

Dr. Furasek is from Lincoln. He and his wife, Anne, enjoy traveling, cooking, and watching their three children play soccer, baseball, and basketball, and gathering with family, who are now all local.
