Scott Heasty, MD

Scott Heasty, MD, received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Hanover College in Indiana and completed his medical training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. He finished his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and has been board-certified in Internal Medicine since 2002. After residency, Dr. Heasty moved to Lincoln where he joined Inpatient Physician Associates as one of the founding members.

Dr. Heasty has served in various roles at Inpatient Physician Associates including being a member of the Executive Committee as well as the Schedule Director. He also served as Chairman of the Division of Primary Care, and as Secretary and Vice Chief of Staff at Bryan Medical Center. He has been the Medical Director of Clinical Informatics since 2014. Dr. Heasty helped guide Bryan Health through the implementation of a new EHR which brought Crete Area Medical Center, Bryan Physicians Network, Bryan Heart, Nebraska Emergency Medicine, and Bryan Medical Center under the same electronic health system.

Dr. Heasty grew up in Scottsbluff, NE, and he and his wife, Sally, have three daughters and two dogs, Molly and Penny. He enjoys spending time with his family, woodworking, golfing, and hiking in the backcountry of Wyoming and Colorado. He appreciates the family atmosphere at IPA, getting to work with great colleagues, and the opportunities they have to make a difference at Bryan Health.
