Nicole Schwensow, MPAS, PA-C, DFAAPA
Nicole Schwensow, MPAS, PA-C, DFAAPA, completed her undergraduate degree at Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She completed her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Marquette University College of Health Sciences in Milwaukee. She is currently working toward a Doctorate of Medical Sciences degree with a focus on leadership through A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona.
Giving back to the PA profession is important to Nicole. She serves on the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services PA Licensure Committee. Additionally, she is vice president of the student leadership team at her DMSc program, and volunteers with the Nebraska Academy of PAs and the American Academy of PAs. She is involved in PA didactic and clinical education, and has served as a preceptor for PA, NP, and medical students, residents and fellows. Nicole is a lecturer at local PA programs, and at state and national CME courses.
Nicole chose to work at Inpatient Physician Associates because she enjoys hospitalist work. She was inspired by their team in Grand Island, the IPA organizational structure, and the fact that the IPA team likes "to grow their own" and promotes team leadership within the organization and at a broader level.
Nicole grew up in Kohler, Wisconsin. She looks forward to attending a Packers football game annually with her mom. In addition to spending time with family and friends, she enjoys traveling, photography, yoga, stand-up paddleboarding, reading, painting, and gardening.
